After performing in various choruses and musicals through high school and taking classes at Dirty South Improv in Chapel Hill, NC, Shannon moved to New York City in the late summer of 2008. She works in public health and has been taking classes at the Magnet theater for the past year, studying with some great teachers, including Mark Grenier, Louis Kornfeld, and Alex Marino. What drives her (in life and improv) is exploration of people and their motivations--she cherishes slow builds and patience.
You can find Shannon running a half marathon (or less) in her other spare time, and she's been known to play guitar, but usually just to add music to her words. You can find her here on Twitter.
