Rachel Bouton

is a maker of funny things currently residing in New York City. She can be seen performing on improv and comedy stages around New York, and in coffee shops writing deeply inappropriate things for Reductress. She currently appears as a member of the touring musical improv company Broadway's Next Hit Musical, as the host of Phaedra's Cabaret (Flux Industries), and as a member of the musical improv team Vern (People's Improv Theatre). She is also the creative director behind This is Your Life: THE MUSICAL, performing personalized broadway-style musicals for parties and events. Stand-up and storytelling credits include Gotham Comedy Club (*Story Talks Winner), Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Metropolitan Room, and the Moth. She has studied improv, sketch-writing, stand-up, and storytelling at The Second City (Chicago), Upright Citizen’s Brigade (NYC), Manhattan Comedy School (NYC), Magnet Theatre (NYC), and The People’s Improv Theatre (NYC). She can also be seen as the Asian Temp in the film Crazy Enough with Chris Kattan (LA Comedy Festival Opening Night Selection) and as a former frumpy person on the FYI makeover show B.O.R.N. to Style.
