New York improviser: Abe Woycke

Abe Woycke

Abe recently moved to New York from Washington, DC, where he was a member of the Washington Improv Theater (WIT) ensemble Season Six for three years and a member of the WIT Harold team People Like Us for two, as well as involved in numerous indie teams.

Abe has taught and coached at WIT and Dojo Comedy (DC's first game-focused improv theater), and coached a bunch of indie teams.

Abe has trained at the UCB Theatre (Advanced Study), Washington Improv Theater, Dojo Comedy, The Annoyance Theatre (CHI), and taken workshops and classes with Kevin Mullaney, Don Fanelli, Will Hines, Asaf Ronen, Ari Voukydis, Billy Merritt, Gavin Speiller, Chelsea Clarke, Patrick Noth, and Mick Napier, among many others.

Abe has a BA in Theatre from Ursinus College, and experience as an actor, writer, and director in theatre, sketch, and short films. Abe has also led a number of corporate improv workshops. His honors paper in college was entitled “Theatrical Improvisation in Pedagogy.”
