New York improviser: Joyah Spangler

Joyah Spangler

Joyah is an actor/singer/improviser from Mountain View, CA. She received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Otterbein University in Ohio before moving to NYC. She has studied improv at UCB and Reckless under the guidance of smartypants such as Anthony Atamanuik, Aaron Jackson, David Siegel, Kate Zelensky, Amey Goerlich, Anders Fors and Christian Capozzoli. She is proud to be a current member of the Reckless house team Deathwish and the indie team Husky.

As an actor, Joyah has performed at many venues including Williamstown Theatre Festival, American Conservatory Theatre, New York Musical Festival, 54 below and the high seas. If you know how to internet, you can find her dying a spectacular death on Fox’s The Following or singing with her high school catholic rock band, Exodus. When not doing make ‘em ups, Joyah spends all of her time listening to obscure history podcasts while cuddling with her dog Smee.
