Bio
Nate Dern is a videomaker and actor living in Brooklyn, and a member of the UCB house sketch comedy team Thunder Gulch and house improv team Scootch. In addition to editing videos for the Upright Citizen Brigade Theatre's own comedy website, UCBcomedy.com, Nate also makes his own comedy shorts, which have been featured on the front pages of YouTube and MySpace and have been collectively viewed over 500,000 times. Other web credits include appearing in original comedy videos for the Onion News Network and CollegeHumor. Nate does stand-up around New York and has performed at clubs in Los Angeles, Denver, Boston and London. He has been doing improv since 2003 and has studied under Armando Diaz, Michael Delaney, Anthony King, Will Hines, Charlie Todd, Bobby Moynihan and many other talented folks. In 2007 Nate appeared as a contestant on the third season of the CW's reality television show "Beauty and the Geek" and returned the following season to co-host the casting special. In addition to doing comedy, Nate is an adjunct professor of film history and acting at St. Francis College in Brooklyn.
