Natasha Rothwell is an actress, writer, director and improvisor living and working in New York. This sometimes worries her parents.
She began improvising in the placenta but fine-tuned her skills at the University of Maryland where she was apart of the improv troupe, Erasable Inc. and received her BA in Theatre Performance.
Before moving to New York, Natasha was in the mainstage company of Washington Improv Theatre (WIT) from 2003 - 2008. Natasha then spent a year performing and directing with Spontaneous Confusion, the mainstage cast at the Tokyo Comedy Store in Tokyo, Japan. This really worried her parents.
Natasha has performed just about everywhere (except at your house. Invite her already): DC Comedy Festival, Chicago Improv Festival, Del Close Improv Marathon, Toronto International Improv Festival, Charleston Comedy Festival, Philadelphia Improv Festival, Dirty South Improv Festival, Mid-Atlantic Improv Festival, and Baltimore Improv Festival, The Kennedy Center, Studio Theatre, Olney Theatre, and also served as a principal Teaching Artist/Performer for Arena Stage.
Natasha is a NBC Universal Diversity Scholarship recipient, and was recently featured in a blog where a complete stranger commented on her potential. Her parents were okay with that.
Natasha is THRILLED to be on the UCBeast Harold team Kinsey. She also performs the hilarious duo Hodapp and Rothwell, and can be seen regularly performing with the groups Seer/Sucker (PIT), Oh Boy!, and War Bride. She is also a very proud member of The Striking Viking Story Pirates.
