New York improviser: Jill Morris

Jill Morris

Jill is a writer and performer currently living in Brooklyn.

While attending The University of Texas in Austin, one of her sketches was a finalist in a national writing contest and was printed in The Austin American-Statesman. That same year, Jill began contributing for The Onion and has continued to do so for the past three years.

The day after moving to New York, Jill began studying at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She quickly joined her two improv teams, The Stamp and Coin Club and Kape, which she still performs with today.

Jill is a sketch writer for the UCB Maude team GORILLA GORILLA. She also writes and performs sketch comedy with Kape, Roll Call, and Easy Princess. A video parody she wrote and produced with Kape was selected to be on the CW Network. Her other writing credits include: The Onion News Network, McSweeney’s and Yankee Pot Roast.

The thing Jill misses the most about Texas is this place that served root beer on tap.
