New York improviser: Jacob Williams

Jacob Williams

I’m Jacob, and I’m writing this in the first person.

I grew up in the little town of Oxford, North Carolina. I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I studied Dramatic Art, Media Studies & Production, and Creative Writing, all to the dismay of my business man dad and IT support mom. I also started doing comedy there. I did some stand up as well as improv, first with DSI Comedy Theater and then CHiPs.

I graduated, taught improv to children for a summer, and moved to New York City. I study improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, perform with my teams in bar basements, and write when I can.

I like reading biographies, video games, Franklin Park, and dogs.
