New York improviser: Ilana Meredith

Ilana Meredith

Ilana studied Drama at N.Y.U, TIsch School of the Arts, singing through some Gershwin, Sondheim, and ABBA at CAP21 and then rolling on the floor in some untitled pieces from Eastern Europe at The Experimental Theatre Wing, After graduating, she performed in musicals on tour, at regional theatres, and in NYC...but her true critical success came when she "starred" in and helped develop several interactive educational children's shows at the NY Hall of Science in Queens.

After all that jazz, she started teaching theatre to really, really little kids (and a few older ones too) in NYC, Western Massachusetts, and Seoul, South Korea . She then sang for babies in The Little Maestros Band while attending City College of N.Y. where she received a Masters Degree in Educational Theatre.

She is originally from Rockland County, NY (which is not upstate), Ilana started studying improv in July 2011.
