New York improviser: Dawn Harris

Dawn Harris

Dawn is an Alabama native, improviser, producer, RISK! podcast contributor, and always busy. She has a BA in Theatre from the University of Alabama. After college she spent a year in the D.C. Metro area and began taking an improv class at the Comedy Spot in the Ballston Common Mall. Under the direction of Liz Demery, Katie Dunn, and Shayna Willis - she got hooked to shortform improv. Then time passed. She learned about longform improv and plans were made and she moved to New York City! Via direct initiative and a chance encounter on, she got invited to a show at the People's Improv Theatre and has now graduated the core improv program. She is also studying at the Magnet Theatre and The Upright Citizens Brigade.

She belongs to the indie team Skycopter.
She serves as producer for Act One and Guerrilla Theatre at the PIT.
