Benjamin Cohen

Benjamin Cohen is a Brooklyn-based comedian who joined the industry due to its severe lack of Jewish White Male Comedy Writers. He performs Improvised Action Movies with his Reckless Theatre House Team, Bronson, on Thursdays at 7 pm as well as one hour monthly shows with Bronson.

He also performs monthly with the down to earth team, Playground.

Born in the Bay Area and raised in Decatur, GA, Ben began studying Sketch & Improv at the UCB theatre in 2012. He has studied with Kevin Hines, Nicole Drespel, Shaun Diston, Terry Withers, Brian Faas, Frank Garcia-Hejl, Brandon Gulya, Rachael Mason, Kerry McGuire, Patrick Noth, and taken workshops with many more wonderful teachers. He has also studied with Annie Donley at The Annoyance, and Christian Capozzoli and Anders Fors at Reckless Theatre.

Ben co-created the 90s themed web-series, Godamsterdam and directed the short film, "Is It Because of my Penis?" which screened at the PIT in 2014 and Annoyance in 2015.

Ben performed as "Woody Allen The Vampire" at the UCBeast OSFUG Character Showcase.

Ben is an active member of the WGA - East.

Ben also teaches Screenwriting and Cinema Studies at the New York Film Academy and ESRA school.
