New York improviser: Anna Maltezos

Anna Maltezos

Anna began her entertainment career by performing concerts with a tennis racquet guitar on the fireplace mantel for her very patient parents. After a childhood of theater classes and finding ways to play sporting equipment musically, Anna was inspired by the film concepts incorporated in music videos, and chose to pursue a filmmaking career at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Anna has worked as an art director and video editor for such notable companies as Saturday Night Live, Atlantic Records, SonyBMG, U Direct Productions and The YouTube Next Lab.

In addition to being a founding member of Candy Slice, Anna is currently the co-creator/producer/editor and and co-star of the web series, No Man's Land, for the Digs channel on YouTube.

Anna has improvisation training from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater by instructors Betsy Stover, Chelsea Clarke, Neil Casey, Rebecca Drysdale, Megan Neuringer, Curtis Gwinn, Pamela Murphy and Ari Voukydis.

She has also studied with Brian Posen at Chicago's Second City.
