New York improviser: Amanda  Miller

Amanda Miller

Amanda earned her BFA in Acting from NYU and has been improvising in one form or another for the last ten years. She studied long form at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York and LA. She co-hosts the Comickaze Comedy Hour variety show at The Parkside Lounge with Lorin Taylor, First Thursdays 9pm. She plays on the two-prov team The Jolly Beans with her pal, Shawn Shafner. She also plays with Cherub Improv, a volunteer group that performs and teaches short form improv to under-served populations like senior centers and cancer wellness communities. Amanda has created such characters as Drunk Homeless Eighties Girl, Manic yogi, and Kevin the angry yoga guy. She is working on a solo show and holds an MFA in creative writing from The New School. She lives in Brooklyn.
